Welcome, I thought I would introduce myself – my name is Janice; my sister Alethea and I founded The Psychic Gift, perhaps you would like to know why?

When I was a child I thought everybody could see spirit and just accepted it as a way of life. When I got older I could sense thoughts, feelings, questions and also auras of people around me. As an adult though I began to realise that it was unusual to see and feel these gifts. I suppose the reason I thought it was normal in the first place was because in one-way or another my whole family had these or similar visions and feelings.

Growing up my feelings ranged from fear and discomfort at seeing lights and feeling presences to a gradual awareness that I should help people. One of my first experiences of this was when I was in a disco club one night, a man behind the bar had an almost black light behind him and I sensed a feeling of intense misery and emptiness around him. I was told by a voice in my head to tell him these words “It’s not worth it – you will feel different by tomorrow”. I lay my hand on his shoulder, the outer part of me was thinking, he is going to think I am mad! To my relief the black cloud that was surrounding him began to lighten. He said, “How did you know?” I replied “know what?” He said, “that I was feeling suicidal”. I said, “I didn’t, I just knew I had to give you that message”. He cried and said, “I feel different already”.

I do not know what happened to that man but that experience enlightened me. My desire to help people really was the beginning of the concept for The Gift, so that other truly gifted psychics could provide you with that hand on the shoulder when you need it.
